Yang Jie, was born on 13th, December, 1953, Hui Nationality, Mengcun Daewntainese. He took Wu Lianzhi as master and began to study art when he was fifteen.

Since 1970, Yang Jie has represented Mengcun, Cangzhou and Hebei Province to join in the various Wushu matches, and gotten two gold medals, six silver medals, and eight copper medals. He went to Japan with his master to give speeches and teach, and assisted Master Wu Lianzhi with recording two records(discs) on Bajiquan and published two books on it.

Yang Jie has devoted himself into the teaching of Bajiquan for years, and has gone to many places to teach. He has many brilliant apprentices.
